Pray For Min. Nigel - November 4, 2008
Many of you have heard the heart touching testimony from Min. Nigel Andrews on the song “The Only Way.” God truly brought him through a test, well I’m asking for all of your prayers for his is going through another test. Nigel is in the hospital and has been for a few weeks. I’m not sure of all the details of his condition but I am sure of the power of prayer. There has been a benefit program for him in Alabama and more are planned for Atlanta GA.
God is Still Blessing.

Getting your music heard - February 23, 2006
Getting your music heard is to me by far much harder than the writing or even the actual recording. There are no real secrets, just stay prayed up. There will be some doors opened as well as some slammed shut. Just in short I suggest that you start out on a local level getting your hometown stations to give your airplay at first then venture out. This won’t happen over night. Remember your recording didn’t just happen but you put in time and effort so you must allow the same amount of time for stations to pick you up. This is of course if you are an independent artist and are working on a limited budget. You can allow a professional to do the work. They already know the contacts and what stations will play you.
I’m thankful that I met the right people and was in the right places. “Everybody that had anything to do with this project was God-sent.”
It took a while but now we are being played on many, many stations, FM and AM including college, internet, foreign and even XM.
E mail me and I will be glad to give your more details also we have a package sent up that includes duplication, distribution and some airplay.
Call you favorite station today and request songs from The Rev. Dr. S. Tyrone Thornton Memorial Mass Choir.
Also I would like to take time to give a special thanks to the DJ’s that are already playing the project.
God Bless ya,
Kenny
LESSONS TAKEN FROM……TYRONE 101 - January 10, 2006
LESSONS TAKEN FROM……TYRONE 101
---by Tammy M. Walton
In the realm of human experiences, one thing that seems to make us feel powerless is
death. It seems so final...so many of us are afraid to die we fail to live. When we don't live because of fear of dying, we die without ever having lived...when we were
born; each of us was birthed for a purpose. How long you are here? I cannot tell you because each of our life's journeys is unique...customized,
MADE ESPICALLY FOR YOU. Throughout our journey, we are confronted with challenges. And this is where my notes from Tyrone 101 begin...
Oh Tyrone would shout & praise God for His goodness at any given time. He didn't "Wait till the Battle was over". Tyrone always had a reason to given Him the Praise. You see Tyrone had "A Testimony". In his ministry, he emphasized, "Jesus is the Answer" because "Though It AH", "God always stood by his side".
Never be ashamed of being of God, my teacher stressed to each listening ear. Tyrone was constantly "Running for Jesus" and even when he looked tired, if asked, his response was "I'm Not Tired Yet". He would say, " You see child.. .I've got power. You know that wondrous working power in the blood of the Lamb. You too can achieve this. "Just ask in Thy Name" and "Hold onto His Hand...Never let go of His Hand".. .even when people say you can't make it. "Just for Me"...my God supplied my needs."
And it was through His divine instruction that Tyrone's earthly projects were complete and it was then time for Tyrone to move on. And it was time Tyrone to go "On a Long, Long Journey"...
"Trouble Don't Last Always", take your eyes off the storm for you will see an uncloudy day. Remember, "God Never Fails". Even when you feel like you've "Gone the Last Mile of the Way". You see.. .in the midst of your troubles and through all your tears, God's going to wipe all of your tears away. God will speak to your heart but you have to "Say Yes Lord Yes" to His will and His way to enable that "Overflow" of blessings. Don't worry.. .Tyrone "Has Already Been to the Water".
I can imagine Tyrone giving warm words of comfort and
encouragement...
"Now that I'm Free, It Will Be Alright. Those left behind who
remain sadden, "Just have a Little Talk with Jesus" you see "I
Know what Prayer can Do." He's the "Same God" as
yesterday, today and days to come. "My God can Do Anything".
He's "So Good that I just Can't Tell it All." God just planted
my feet on a higher ground and "I Won't Complain" because my
soul has been "Anchored in the Lord" and "Joy Cometh in the
Morning". ^
"To Be Like Jesus"...
This was his story and these were the songs... Now Tyrone is praising Our Savior All the Day Long.
In Memory Of Little Brother - January 10, 2006
I've written down a million words.
The Lord has blessed me to write poems that have been read across the land.
I have written songs that have been sung by many. Music that has been
played by a band.
But writing these words of memory, from 36 years in time
About a man I called "Brother, a brother by blood that was really mine
It is by far the most challenging task that I put on my pen
I prayed that God would help me make it to the end,
I thought about writing down how I felt about you, so that the whole world
Could see
Then it came to me what the song writer said, "May the Life I Live, Speak for Me."
My life, your life too
That's what the bible said to do
We worked hard trying to surpass what mom and dad expected of us
Trying to pass "our test”
You finished before I did, but don't worry about me
Go ahead and get your rest
We had some good times and for them I am glad
Even though right now we are in the night and we all are sad
No matter what happens in the future I won't forget the past
My tomorrow won't change my memories
I’ll do all I can to make them last,
I just can’t tell you how much I miss you
Because of you my life will never be the same
People have nothing but good things to say about you, every time they
Mention your name
They talk about how you preached to a dying world about God’s saving grace They say no matter what the situation, you always had a smile on your face
I can’t help but cry when I think about the way your life had to end
But my soul cries out Hallelujah when I think about the fact that if we live right
WE WILL MEET AGAIN
